Dylan Walsh as 'Dr. Sean McNamara'
On Nip/Tuck, Dylan Walsh plays Dr. Sean McNamara, a dedicated, brilliant plastic surgeon and partner in McNamara/Troy, a plastic surgery practice that has relocated from Miami to Los Angeles. Often conflicted about his life choices, Sean relies on his partner, Christian, for strength and a sense of family. Last season, Sean was emotionally isolated: Christian became engaged, Sean's son Matt married Kimber Henry, and Sean's wife, Julia, divorced him and departed Miami for New York with daughter Annie and son Conor. This season, Sean begins dating in a new city and gains confidence both personally and professionally.
Walsh recently guest starred on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and appeared in Christmas Miracle, a telefilm written and directed by Gregory Goodell. Walsh starred in the Warner Bros. feature The Lake House, opposite Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves, and Just Add Water, opposite Danny DeVito. In addition, Walsh starred opposite William H. Macy, Julia Stiles and Joe Mantegna in the independent film Edmond.
Walsh starred as the antagonist in The Lone Ranger and had a recurring role on Everwood. He also appeared in Brooklyn South, the film Final Voyage and the cable film More Than Meets the Eye: The Joan Brock Story.

Other work includes the films Jet Boy, Deadly Little Secrets, Power Play and the independent film Par 6.
Born in Los Angeles, Walsh spent the first 10 years of his life in Africa, India and Indonesia, as both of his parents were in the Foreign Service. After his 10th birthday, Walsh and his family settled in Annandale, Virginia, a suburb of Washington, D.C.
Walsh made his professional acting debut while still in high school, appearing with prestigious theatre companies at the Arena Stage and the Studio Theatre. He was an English major at the University of Virginia but spent most of his time in the theatre department. During summers, he performed with the Heritage Repertory Company, appearing in such classics as A Midsummer Night's Dream, Curse of the Starving Class, Romeo and Juliet, Death of a Salesman and Our Town.
